Borson believes Newcastle’s owners will now target a takeover of a European club with opportunities available in France and Germany.I think PiF are bound to look at European opportunities and also bound to see some valuable opportunities there as wellBecause the European game – while we think we’ve got problems in England – France right now still do not even have a TV deal.
“They’re talking about having to do the deal themselves and so clearly clubs outside of PSG, Marseille, Lyon and Monaco will have some severe issues in terms of paying the bills.We’ve seen some very big clubs suffer financial issues in Germany so there will be opportunities there too.
