Sweden and Newcastle striker Alexander Isak is the latest high-profile Premier League star to see his home targeted by organised thieves in a break-in this week.

Burglars have broken into the home of Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak. The Sweden attacker played in his team's 1-0 Premier League win against Fulham on Saturday 6 April. However, thieves may have targeted his home in Darras Hall, Northumberland, just two days earlier. Northumbria Police said they received a report of a burglary from a property around 10.05pm on Thursday - but believe the incident took place earlier that day.

It was reported that the gang of robbers gained entry to the four-bed home through rear patio doors, the Sun said. A force spokesman said: 'The offence is believed to have taken place earlier that day. 'It was reported that offenders gained entry to the property and took a vehicle from the address. 'The vehicle was later found abandoned in the Dissington area, and the occupants had fled the scene.' Police added 'inquiries remain ongoing'.
