A school in South Wales was placed into lockdown on Tuesday after three teachers were allegedly assaulted by a former pupil. Newport High School confirmed no weapons were used during the incident but school staff instigated emergency procedures to keep pupils safe. Gwent Police said in a statement that it received a report an ex-pupil had allegedly caused damage to school property and cars and assaulted three teachers.
