Emergency Services were called to Laggan Road on Wednesday, July 31, after the alarm was raised. Officers say the driver of the vehicle failed a roadside breath test.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "On Wednesday night Police received a report of a vehicle collision on Laggan Road, Newton Mearns. An 83 year old male was arrested for failing the roadside breath test. He was taken to custody to appear at court at a later date for a drink driving offence."
