Welcome to The Athletic's take on offseason team evaluations. The NFL Roster Evaluation Model examines each team's stability and strength at key position groups. Where is each club set, and what are their biggest needs? We analyze:
Production, depth, contract stability and injury history were all considered, and positions were weighted to account for differing levels of impact and financial commitment.
The table below ranks every team’s roster from most stable and strong to least. The offensive and defensive rankings offer the same collective context for position groups on that particular side of the ball:: Edge, defensive line, linebacker, safety and cornerback
