It wasn’t pretty, but it’s a win in Mike Macdonald’s Seahawks debut!
The Seattle Seahawks are in the win column in Mike Macdonald’s head coaching debut. It was an ugly game with several turnovers, sloppy penalties, and shoddy offensive line play, but the Seahawks overcame themselves and pulled off a 26-20 win over the Denver Broncos . Seattle trailed 13-9 at halftime without giving up a TD, having instead allowed two field goals and two safeties.
Nix was fortunate not to be picked by Tyrel Dodson, then he took a sack on the sideline after Devon Witherspoon had initial pressure and Boye Mafe ushered him out of bounds. That sack took Denver completely out of field goal range with under two minutes left. Backed up again, Geno was sacked by Jonathan Cooper. Kenneth Walker almost bobbled a pass into a third safety. It was an atrocious drive that thankfully didn’t end in a safety.
