With the calendar flipping to May, the Stanley Cup Playoffs pool is getting smaller and the NHL Mock Draft community is getting larger.
Two of the three local teams, the Islanders and Devils, have officially entered their offseason — the Islanders ’ 2023-24 campaign coming to an end on Tuesday night with a 6-3, Game 5 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes. They own the No. 18 pick in the first round of June’s draft.
The Devils, who missed the playoffs, are hoping for some Draft Lottery magic on May 7 where they have a 3.5% chance of getting the No. 1 overall pick.
