The NHS is advising people who test positive for Covid to stay at home for five days as a new strain of the virus spreads.
While self-isolation is no longer mandatory in the UK, the NHS suggests staying at home and minimising contact with other people for five days following a positive test. Additionally, the health service recommends avoiding close contact with vulnerable people who are at higher risk from the virus for 10 days after a positive result, reports Surrey Live.Covid cases rising across the UK, with recent data from the UK Health Security Agency showing a 21.
For those exhibiting Covid symptoms, the NHS recommends staying at home and limiting contact with other people, even if they have not tested positive. "You can go back to your normal activities when you feel better or do not have a high temperature," the NHS advises on its website.
