A variety of different roles with NHS Scotland are currently available on the picturesque island of Benbecula in the Outer Hebrides, with salaries starting as high as £56,000.

At the moment, the healthcare service is hiring a number of positions on the tiny Isle of Benbecula in the Outer Hebrides. Home to a population of around just 1,300 people, Benbecula features tiny lochs, magnificent sandy beaches, and several shops and cafés in its main settlement of Balivanich.

The Advanced Nurse/Paramedic Practitioner will be part of the island's first-response team, and provide urgent healthcare. They will also take part in care home visits, as well as NHS 24, custody care, and Hospital at Home care. While experience in hospitality and a commercial background would be "advantageous", they are not necessary to apply. However, a food hygiene certificate and a professional cookery qualification is required.

Other positions available include a Staff Nurse OUAB and a Stroke Liaison Nurse, with starting salaries of up to £39,375 and £48,635 respectively. The former job will involve assessing and managing ill patients in emergency situations, while the Stroke Liaison Nurse will be responsible for administering care to patients who have suffered strokes.
