Maggie O'Farrell took home the Author award at Harper's Bazaar's Women of the Year awards in London
Co Derry author Maggie O'Farrell was among the winners at this year's Harper's Bazaar Women of the Year Awards 2023. The Coleraine native received the Writer Award for her contribution to literature.
O'Farrell has seen huge success in recent years. Her debut novel, After You'd Gone, won the Betty Trask Award. Meanwhile, her 2020 novel Hamnet will soon be adapted for the big screen and will star Paul Mescal and Jessie Buckley. The film also stars Conversations With Friends actress Alison Oliver along with big names such as Euphoria star Jacob Elordi and Rosamund Pike. Saltburn is set for release this month and has been met with rave reviews by critics.
