Business Manager Ryan Mayrs, whose restaurant is behind the unique local initiative, said he wanted to raise awareness in the community of the condition. Down Syndrome, also known as Trisomy 21, is a genetic disorder caused by the presence of all or part of a third copy of chromosome 21. “I love working here. Everyone is so friendly, and I have been able to meet new people and make a lot of friends,” he said.
