'It's absolutely heartbreaking and I wanted to highlight this story because people are struggling bad and they don't know where to turn.'
A Derry resident was left shocked when they discovered a can of coca-cola had frozen because they cannot afford to heat their home.
"It's heartbreaking, it really is," the concerned neighbour said. "I was speaking with them about this and I was shocked. I couldn't believe it. "This is a real situation in 2022 and people are really struggling. This particular person would be lucky if they could put £20 in their gas meter a month. "When they came downstairs, they discovered that the coke can was completely frozen and the can was distorted. That's how cold it is in their kitchen, that's disgraceful.
