A fine dining restaurant in Co Down is set to close its doors following the departure of its chef and the current economic climate.

The popular foodie spot is housed in the old Harbour Masters Office, which dates back to 1849, and was also once home to the RNLI.In 2016, it was taken over by Ken Sharp, who at the time ran The Salty Dog across the road, after The Boat House founder, Dutch-born Joery Castel, decided to take time out of the kitchen.

"With the sudden departure of our Chef set against the current economic climate, we have come to the conclusion that it is just not feasible to carry on the way we are. We have decided, therefore, to put the restaurant on the market by way of assignment.
