A pupil from a North Belfast school has been praised for helping a man in distress at a Carrickfergus train station.
After alerting the train driver, Molly went to the passengers aid and helped put him in the recovery position until paramedics arrived.She had previously received first aid training as a lifeguard to work in Mid and East Antrim Amphitheatre Leisure Centre. Commenting on the incident, Hilton Parr, Translink’s Head of Rail Customer Services praised her swift actions as the first responder alongside the conductor.
