Nicki Chapman showed off her youthful glow as she posed on the red carpet for The Lady Garden Gala 10th anniversary at The OWO in London earlier this week. The TV presenter, 57, 'hasn't aged a day' since she first rose to fame in the early noughties with popular TV shows Pop Idol and Popstars.
Nicki, who previously opened up about undergoing a facelift, looked incredible as she strutted her stuff in a stunning red and pink glittering dress which featured long sleeves and contrast colour panel detailing. Her glamorous appearance comes around 24 years since she first found fame on the judging competition shows and the star's ageless looks are still just as enviable as back then. The telly and radio star is now best known for fronting Escape to the Country and the Chelsea Flower Show. On Thursday, Nicki made a glamorous appearance in London for the swanky event. She wore her glossy blonde locks styled in a sleek, straight fashion with her iconic fringe reminiscent of her Pop Idol days. She opted for a glitzy dress for the special occasion and went all-out with the fully-sequinned gown. Plus, her glowing makeup accentuated her youthful features. Nicki first started off in the music industry when she was just 21-years-old working for MCA records. She then rose to TV fame after securing a judging role on Pop Idol in the early 1990s. In recent years, she has opened up about her early career on the White Wine Question Time podcast where she described her joining Pop Idol as a "life-changing" moment. Nicki said at the time: "It’s difficult to believe… some part of me thinks it was like 'yesteryear' and then another part thinks, 'I don’t think it ever happened'. It's weird… I don’t know. But such fond memories. And life-changing for me, it really was." During her years in the music industry, Nicki became close friends with X Factor music mogul Simon Cowell. The star spent much of the early 2000s judging wannabe singers such as Gareth Gates and Will Young alongside Simon as well as Pete Waterman. She also went on to work with stars such as Billie Piper, S Club 7 and the Spice Girls. Away from the spotlight, Nicki has faced some more challenging times in her personal life. She underwent surgery to remove a brain tumour the "size of a golf ball" in 2019. Then, the star was filming a TV show when she received the amazing news from her doctor that her tumour had disappeared and that she was being given the all clear. Nicki now mostly presents Escape To The Country, the popular BBC One show that sees presenters escort prospective buyers to countryside properties. She has also presented television shows including Wanted Down Under and Escape to the Country spin-off I Escaped to the Country for BBC One.
