He previously took on the role of Spider-Man Noir — the 'dark' version of the beloved Spider-Man most are familiar with — back in 2018 while voicing the character for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. 'I tried to channel those noir films with Bogart, and have those kinds of sounds that he might make with Cagney, or Edward G. Robinson, that kind of way of talking,' he told ET at the time.
