Hollywood actress Nicole Kidman has been forced to leave the Venice Film Festival after announcing that her mother Janelle Ann Kidman, who inspired her and 'shaped' her, sadly passed away
Nicole Kidman was forced to leave Venice just hours after arriving after learning of the death of her "beautiful, brave mum". The 57-year-old actress announced the news via a note read out to the Venice Film Festival audience on Saturday night . She had been due to collect the best actress award at the event, but revealed she was preparing flying home to be with her family instead.
The message said: "Today I arrived in Venice to find out shortly after, that my beautiful, brave mother Janelle Ann Kidman has just passed. I am in shock and I have to go to my family, but this award is for her, she shaped me, she guided me, and she made me.
