Nikki Haley walked onto the RNC stage to mixed reactions from Republicans.
Former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley was booed by some Republicans as she took the stage at the Republican National Convention.Newsweek's Alex Rouhandeh reported that Haley, the last Republican candidate to remain in the primary against former President Donald Trump, entered the convention center to loud cheers as well as scattered boos.However, Haley's speech seemed to win Republicans over.
The former UN ambassador was on the receiving end of Trump's ire during the Republican primary and took shots from him for staying in the race too long. She wasn't originally slated to attend, but Trump said in an interview before the convention that he would consider extending an invitation to her. While on stage, Haley acknowledged the invitation she received and said she was honored to accept it.Haley praised Trump for his approach to foreign policy, including his response to Iran.
