Audi and Hyundai will bring two cars each. World Touring Car Championship winner Rob Huff will be joined by Frederic Vervisch in two Comtoyou-run Audi RS3 LMS cars.
Huff and Vervisch both have experience at Mount Panorama having previously raced in the Bathurst 12 Hour.Mikel Azcona and Norbert Michelisz will pilot two Hyundai i30 N sedans with the factory-backed Squadra Corse outfit. Argentina's Nestor Girolami, who has previously raced in the TCR Australia Series, will make his return in a new Honda Civic Type R. The Japanese marque will field another factory-backed effort but are yet to name that driver.
It's expected more drivers will be announced in the weeks to come. The addition of the TCR World Tour drivers to the TCR Australia Series grid is expected to grow the field to more than 20 cars.
