The Nixon Fire was reported just before 12:30 p.m. Monday in the area of Tule Valley Road and Richard Nixon Boulevard in Aguanga.
A wildfire that sparked in Riverside County continues to grow, prompting evacuation orders. When firefighters first responded to the scene, they reported approximately 5 acres of vegetation burning. By 7 p.m. Monday the fire grew to 2,700 acres and remained 0% contained. Several evacuation orders and warnings were issued. An evacuation center was established at Temecula Valley High School at 31555 Rancho Vista Road.
