Nora Quoirin’s body is identified by her devastated parents after she was found dead in the Malaysian jungle
NORA Quoirin's devastated parents have identified a naked body found by a jungle waterfall as their missing daughter, police in Malaysia said today.
He added that the body, which was found in a stream running through a ravine, “resembles Nora and she was found completely naked”.He said the area had already been searched but a group of volunteers helping with the hunt came across the body after being tipped off.Malaysian publication The Star reported the search and rescue team received a call from a member of the public at around 1pm, and a team was sent to the area near a waterfall.
Nora’s parents say they discovered her missing from her bedroom at the Dusun eco-resort in southern Negeri Sembilan state on the morning of Sunday August 4 with the window left open.Meabh and Sebastien Quoirin have always insisted their daughter, who has learning difficulties, wouldn't have wandered off alone so it's likely she was abducted."We are especially worried because Nora has learning and developmental disabilities, and is not like other 15-year-olds.
Police leading the investigation have refused to rule out a "criminal element" in the teenager's disappearance.
