The series broke records in the first week of its release seeing it rake in a whopping 21.8 million requests on the streaming platform.
This smashed the previous record held by Killing Eve, which drew more than 10.8million requests back in 2018. Following the impressive figures, it has since been reported that the BBC is ‘desperate’ to get a second season, Sources claimed to The Mirror: ‘The BBC are desperate to get going on series two. The viewing numbers are huge and they want more of the same.‘They want to strike while the iron is hot and get working on the series as soon as possible.’‘Oh, there’s no question that character to me is still alive and breathing and very much has a lot of life left to live,’ he explained.The 24-year-old added: ‘I do feel like the series that has finished is its own thing, and I’m totally comfortable with that.
