Normal People stars Daisy Edgar-Jones and Paul Mescal have hinted at a potential second season of the show in a new Instagram post.The pair both rose to fame on the 2020 BBC series, which is based on the novel by Sally Rooney and follows the relationship between Marianne and Connell as they weave in and out of each others' lives over a number of years.While the show wrapped up the story told in the original book, speculation over a follow-up season has remained in the years since.
'At the moment, there's nothing at all in the pipeline so I don't want to be quoted on 'maybe there's going to be a season 2'. There's nothing at the moment.'Director Lenny Abrahamson also revealed in 2020 that they had 'talked about the possibility of how interesting it would be to check back in with them.
