After the mad rush, normal service has resumed
While we're all pulling down and boxing-up our Christmas decorations and searching how to recycle our trees, there's a packing-away project on a much bigger scale is taking place on Blackpool seafront. The resort's alpine village, Christmas by the Sea at Tower Festival Headland is being taken down, signalling the sad end of the 2022 festive season.
Teams have swiftly moved in to pack away the German-style log cabins, which had taken over the popular seafront area in front of Blackpool Tower. The closure coincides with the illuminations being switched off until the autumn. However, it was recently announced that the seasonal attraction will return for several more years to come, after permission was granted for Visit Blackpool to host the family-friendly extravaganza until at least 2026.
