Avila is accused of leaving her deceased baby girl in a dumpster roughly 37 years ago in October when she was 19 years old. She allegedly left the baby in a dumpster behind a business on the 5400 block of La Sierra Ave in Riverside, California.The Riverside County Coroner’s Office ruled the baby’s death a homicide. The police department’s homicide detectives exhausted all leads at the time, and the case went cold.
