The council’s environmental health team currently charges for functions it performs with regard to businesses who sell food, exporters and premises offering tattoos or piercings.
North Lanarkshire Council has reviewed the fees and charges some businesses in the area are required to pay.
Additionally, new fees will be introduced for certificates of compliance which street traders need to be allowed to operate and must renew every three years. The changes mean that street trader food licenses will now cost £137, while food hygiene certificates will cost up to £197.
