City officials recently announced that North Ridgeville has been recognized by Dementia Friendly America (DFA) as a Dementia-Friendly Community.
City officials recently announced that North Ridgeville has been recognized by Dementia Friendly America as a Dementia-Friendly Community. DFA is a national network of communities, organizations and individuals seeking to ensure communities are equipped to support people living with dementia as well as their care partners,” according to the press release.
Communities must meet the criteria outlined by DFA before being awarded with the designation. According to DFA officials, North Ridgeville demonstrated strong cross-sector partnerships; inclusive leadership; and is a champion organization that is committed to dementia-friendly practices, goals and progress tracking.
There is no set opening date for Jet’s right now, or for the new business on the corner unit, Custom Amish Cabinetry. A possible summer opening may occur. For now, there are many other great local businesses in Avon to support. Continue to shop local. City crews usually get through the chipping list in a one-week period, however, if there are a significant number of branches out due to recent storm damage, it can take up to two weeks for chipping services.
Poles, bait and knowledgeable attendants will be onsite. Fish in the pond include Bluegill, Bass and Catfish. The free fishing is for families with kids ages 15 and under. All youth under age 18 must have a signed permission form completed during or prior to their first fishing experience with the Avon Lake Parks and Recreation Department. Children under 12-years-old must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible person, 14- years-old or older.
