BREAKING: North Sea oil base blocked by Extinction Rebellion protesters
Protesters are blocking the main entrance to Invergordon Service Base of the Cromarty Firth Port Authority.
They have placed a 13ft oil rig made from scrap materials with a banner saying ‘Decommission Me Now’ on the road, and four people locked themselves on to prop oil barrels on the route to block traffic.The site is used as a base for the maintenance of offshore oil rigs.
