Northamptonshire Police says a dog slipped its lead before attacking a man and his dog.
Northamptonshire Police said the victim suffered minor injuries in the incident in Glastonbury Road in Delapre, Northampton, between 11:30-11:50 GMT on 12 January.
The victim had stepped aside to allow another dog walker and his two dogs to pass when one of the pair slipped its lead. The man's own dog was attacked by one of the pair, and when he intervened, he was pulled to the ground with his hand still in the dog's mouth. Police want to speak to the owner of the two dogs, believed to be a black labrador and a dark grey mixed breed - thought to be a pit bull-Staffordshire bull terrier type called Deeko - which was wearing a thick dark coloured collar. They said he was about 5ft 10ins , of a slim build and had a groomed beard. He was wearing a grey hoodie and dark beanie hat.The family of Luke Abrahams say a one-day inquest into his death "would be an insult" to their son.
