Fake broadband calls are common
Northamptonshire residents have fallen victim to "vishing" phone scams that has left them cheated out of their money. New data from Bionic has flagged that broadband and phone scams have shot up through the pandemic and the energy crisis.
In the East Midlands region, Leicestershire reported the most expensive scams whilst Northamptonshire lost the least . This stark difference in economic loss is interesting as the two counties reported similar numbers of cases.
