The Department for Transport has allocated £2 million to North Northamptonshire Council
A number of new and improved bus services across North Northamptonshire will be phased in over the coming months, as the council has announced plans to create better connectivity across the county. The Department for Transport has allocated North Northamptonshire Council just over £2 million to fund phase three of its Bus Service Improvement Plan in 2024/25.
Council leader Jason Smithers said: “Retaining high quality bus services is a priority for us and this funding stream will have such a positive impact on local communities. From speaking to residents, we know that high quality bus services are vital to help reduce isolation and support local economies.”
