CLEVELAND, Ohio - A noticeably warmer day is ahead as temperatures spike to the mid 60s across Northeast Ohio this afternoon. Some high clouds will be around, but the day stays dry. There will be a stiff southeast breeze between 15 and 20 mph with occasional gusts up to 30 mph. The warm, dry, and breezy conditions lead to an elevated risk for brush fire spread. Keep in mind open burning is not allowed between the hours of 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. from March through May per Ohio law.
Tuesday will be rainy during the morning hours. The afternoon may see breaks in the steadiest rain, but another line of showers and even a few thunderstorms moves through from sunset to around midnight. Pockets of heavy rain are possible. Winds will also be quite strong from the south to southeast and 20 to 25 mph, with occasional gusts up to 40 mph.
Thursday and Friday will be dry and seasonable with high temperatures near 50 degrees under a mostly sunny sky.
