A Northern Ireland community is in mourning following the unexpected passing of Kenadie Porter, a popular 15-year-old schoolgirl. Kenadie was remembered as a 'treasured young person' by her church and a 'model pupil' by her school. Her family expressed their devastation on social media.
A Northern Ireland community has been left shocked and saddened following the sudden death of a popular young schoolgirl.
In a post on Facebook her father Craig said: “Nicki, Hudson and I are devastated, our beautiful Kenadie passed away in her sleep during the night. We all love you so much and you were a blessing to all who met you. Kenadie, we will see ya soon my little pasta shape.” "Kenadie went to sleep as usual and didn’t waken again in this life. Kenadie was a beautiful, bright, thoughtful, caring, and helpful girl who was always a massive encouragement every Sunday morning to the leaders and to the children in CET children’s church, she was always a bright and shining light in the CET Lighthouse children’s ministry on a Friday evening also.”
"Kenadie was a quiet and unassuming pupil, and because of her humble manner one could be forgiven for missing her outstanding qualities.
They added: "Alongside her academic studies, Kenadie’s sporting interests lay in playing netball and throughout her four years in Dromore High she enjoyed the company of her group of good, close friends. Although Kenadie was quiet, she had a sparkle about her and a glint of fun in her eye. Her excitement at the forthcoming History trip to Poland and Germany for which she had queued early and enthusiastically to secure a place was obvious.
