He said:"The restoration of the Executive, in line with the Belfast Agreement, remains my top priority. I will continue to do all I can to help the Northern Ireland Parties work together to make that happen." Former First Minister Paul Givan resigned as part of the DUP's escalating strategy against the Northern Ireland Protocol - part of the Brexit deal which was agreed upon by both sides and is designed to prevent a hard border on the island of Ireland.
