Chief Secretary to the Treasury said that this is the 'largest in real terms of any settlement since devolution began'
The Northern Ireland Executive is set to receive £18.2bn in 2025 as a result of Rachel Reeves' budget.
"There will be 760 million pounds of targeted funding for a number of projects totalling 670 million pounds on resource and 90 million on capital, including 662 million pounds for the 2024 restoration financial package, 50 million pounds for historic funding packages and 42 million pounds confirmed for the city and growth deals.
"This provides the Northern Ireland executive with certainty in their budgets, but also a big boost in their Barnett Consequentials so that they can prioritise funds in line with their own priorities." "Lastly, we're providing 38 million pounds for the Police Service of Northern Ireland's additional security fund, 8 million pounds for the Executive Programme on paramilitarism and organised crime, and 730,000 pounds of additional funding in 25/26 to support schools in Northern Ireland through the transformation process as they work towards integrated status," Darren added.
"Well, so we made an election commitment in our manifesto not to increase the headline rates of income tax on national insurance or VAT on working people," he said.
