Northern Ireland Minister of State Fleur Anderson expressed horror at the online abuse directed at UUP candidate Jay Basra during the UK General Election campaign. Anderson was responding to South Antrim MP Robin Swann who highlighted that Basra, describing himself as Punjabi-British, faced dehumanizing and abhorrent abuse that reduced him to his skin color. Swann noted that despite the abuse, Basra remains determined to run again.
