A Co Tyrone Sky Park and Observatory in Northern Ireland has been revealed as one of the top 15 spots globally for stargazing, according to a new study. The research analyzed data from Google reviews, global search data, and AllTrails scores to determine the best DarkSky parks for stargazers.
Northern Ireland has been named as one of the top countries in the world for those wanting to get into stargazing.
The research conducted walking holiday experts Inghams reveals the official DarkSky parks around the world that are off the beaten track, but highly recommended by visitors.Global search data, Google reviews and AllTrails scores for over 122 DarkSky parks were analysed, with the final rankings reflecting which parks around the world provide the best experience for stargazers.
Coming in a number 11 on the list, and one of only two UK spots to feature, OM Dark Sky Park & Observatory in Davagh Forest has been found as a top location for stargazing.
