The Castledawson Inn in County Derry, owned by former Lord of the Dance star Ciaran Devlin and his business partner Lorraine Donnelly, is set to appear on Channel 4's popular show 'Four in a Bed' alongside three other Northern Ireland hospitality businesses.

Four hospitality businesses from Northern Ireland are set to feature on Channel 4 's popular show 'Four in a Bed' next week. The Castledawson Inn in County Derry, owned and operated by former Lord of the Dance star Ciaran Devlin and his business partner Lorraine Donnelly, will be in the spotlight on Monday. Situated on the banks of the River Moyola, the inn boasts an 80-seater restaurant and bar, along with 15 double/twin ensuite rooms.

It's one of four accommodation businesses from across Northern Ireland to participate in the upcoming episode.Joining The Castledawson Inn are The Wylies in Lisburn, County Antrim, Drumrush B&B in Kesh, County Fermanagh, and Ballylough House in Bushmills, County Antrim. Each week, 'Four in a Bed' sees four different accommodation owners stay at each other's establishments, rating their experience. Guests are asked to assess various aspects of their stay, including the local tourist experience, the cleanliness and facilities of the accommodation, the quality of sleep, and the breakfast served. After their stay, contestants then pay the advertised rate but have the option to overpay or underpay based on their overall impression.Speaking about their experience on the show, Ciaran Devlin, originally from Bellaghy, shared: 'Since taking over The Castledawson Inn two years ago, we've dedicated ourselves to making it a place people love to visit and return to. We believe our fantastic local tourism offerings in Mid Ulster and our central location in Northern Ireland, which allows us to source the best local produce, contribute to this. Getting the opportunity to step away from our own business and immerse ourselves in other hospitality ventures was a chance we couldn't miss. We had some great moments of Ulster humour throughout the week, so I expect there will be both entertaining and potentially embarrassing moments on display. Hopefully, the show will highlight the pride we should all have in what we offer visitors to this special part of the world.'Lorraine Donnelly, Ciaran's co-founder at The Castledawson Inn, added: 'As a relatively new hospitality business, we're incredibly grateful for the opportunity to participate in such a beloved TV series. Thankfully, our offerings have been well-received by both our local community and travelling guests since we opened. 'Four in a Bed' is exciting because it exposes us to a whole new audience. Ciaran and I have been best friends for over 25 years and have been incredibly busy since opening The Castledawson Inn, so this was a fantastic chance to take a break, have some fun, and learn from other inspiring hospitality business owners. We haven't seen the final edits yet, but I'm sure there will be some memorable television moments. We're sworn to secrecy about the outcome, but it's definitely worth tuning in to see the fun and reactions unfold.'To book a table or accommodation, visit www.castledawsoninn.com. Tune in to Channel 4 at 5pm on Monday, January 27, for 'Four in a Bed' or watch back on channel4.com to see how The Castledawson Inn fares.
