PEAs to come in the future
Northisle Copper and Gold has released an integrated resource estimate for its North Island project in Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada, that integrates the Hushamu, Red Dog and Northwest Expo deposits. Interest in the project from copper and gold producers could make the company more ambitious in the upcoming PEA. "Our update will possibly have an initial throughput of up to 40,000tpd from the original 20,000tpd, and expanding the life of mine. A sub-billion-dollar capex is the threshold we want to stay under," Lee told Mining Journal at the 2023 Precious Metals Summit in Beaver Creek, Colorado in September.Northisle Copper and Gold shares have increased by 20% this year.
