In a town filled with coffee shops, people have spoken out about where they go for their favourite cup of coffee. In one part of Nottinghamshire, where you ‘can’t have too many coffee shops’ it has been agreed coffee shops are good for business owners and handy for residents.
With the Metro coffee shop, Pudding Pantry, Café Nero, the Bendigo Longue, Greenhood Coffee and more, coffee shops make this high street. Ethel Lee, 67 lives in Beeston.Every Tuesday, she meets up with friends and they go for a coffee. Ethel said: “There’s many coffee shops in Beeston but it’s good for others so they can get out and about. My friends and I go to a different café every Tuesday.
Student Gracie Cowans, 22, who lives in Beeston said: “I take my laptop to a few of the coffee shops in Beeston, they’re never too loud which is nice. I like Cartwheel Coffee and I go to Café Nero quite a bit for a cappuccino.” On 120 Beeston High Road is the Metro Cafe. Owner, Sue Kudryk has run the shop for 10 years. She spoke about the family business.
