The New Yorker isn’t afraid to make himself the punchline
“When a joke works, it sets off a fire for me to want to be funny,” says comedian Gianmarco Soresi, known for his high-energy live shows. “I think that’s what’s cool about the whole art form. It’s like if they’re trying to shock start your heart back to pumping again.”
With over 40 dates on his ongoing “Leaning In” tour, Soresi is making up for lost time. The comedian first began touring on the cusp of the COVID-19 pandemic, which was inevitably halted, and picked back up mid-2021. Since then, he’s been flying back and forth from his home in New York to the next touring city every week, covering as much ground as one can manage. “That’s my whole life,” says Soresi.
