Adrian Perry, 56, was sentenced to one year and six weeks after breaking into a micropub, a homeware shop, and a business at West End Arcade in Nottingham. Perry used a brick to smash through the window of the Mist Rolling Inn, stealing bottles of alcohol. He was later apprehended by police while attempting to flee across the roof of West End Arcade.
A burglar who hurled a brick through the window of a micropub in Nottingham has been jailed after a stealing spree across the city. Adrian Perry stole bottles of spirits after breaking into the Mist Rolling Inn, in Derby Road, in the early hours of Tuesday, January 21.
He tried to flee by climbing up a ladder but was handcuffed by officers as he tried to run out into the street. It was discovered he had smashed his way into one of the businesses at the arcade and broken into the till. Perry, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to three counts of burglary when he appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, January 29. He also admitted threatening behaviour following an incident at a supermarket in Carlton Street, also on January 21.
