Since 2016, the project has supplied nearly 600 beds to children and families in Nottingham shire. The charity aims to ensure that all children have safe sleeping conditions. The issue often stems from families not being able to afford to replace broken beds, wash bedding, or share beds with their children.
A recent report highlighted that over a million families had relinquished their beds in the previous year to provide sleeping space for their children. The project, initiated in 2006 by Anthea Wainwright, was later taken over by Brad and Cyrilyn Moore from Operation Orphan, who expanded its focus to include essential items for children and safer living environments
