A Nottingham couple have revealed plans for a mammoth 40- pub crawl on Christmas Eve that will last more than nine hours. Dale Harvey and his wife Holly, who run the popular social media account The Great British Pub Crawl , are planning to visit 40 Nottingham pubs during a festive crawl.
The couple have made it their quest to visit the UK's finest watering holes and report back to their more than 100,000 followers on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. Sharing news of their latest venture, which will see them visit dozens of city boozers from 11.15am to 9pm on December 24, the pair posted: "To say that I'm a little excited for today's Nottingham Pub Crawl Christmas Eve Special would be an understatement.
"I have finalised/rejigged the list to make the plan easier to stick to and to know if I'm on schedule or miles behind. Pitcher & Piano has gone so that I could work a way of getting The Barrel Drop onto the list and keep it at 40... but depending on times and how I'm feeling, it may even get added in."
The marathon pub crawl will start at The Navigation before quickly crossing off the others pubs along Carrington Street and next to the canal. Drinkers will make their way to Cured, Vat and Fiddle, Barley Twist, and the Canalhouse, before getting to the city's oldest pub the Ye Olde Trip To Jerusalem near Nottingham Castle.
The itinerary then heads to a series of pubs in Sneinton, before looping back into the city centre via the Lace Market. The last three planned stops are at The Nedd Ludd, Ye Olde Salutation Inn, and Ned's Cavern.
