The latest Nottingham Forest transfer news as the club agree a loan deal with Aston Villa for defender Alex Moreno
Nottingham Forest are set to sign Alex Moreno from Aston Villa in a season-long loan deal with the option to buy.
Meanwhile their Midlands rivals possess three high-quality options as Ian Maatsen's arrival earlier in the window added to existing options Lucas Digne and Moreno. The latter was put up for transfer, now an agreement has been reached by Forest for a loan switch. Moreno arrived to the Premier League in January 2023, signed from Real Betis for £13m. In the remainder of that 2022/23 campaign his performances aided Villa's efforts to qualify for the UEFA Europa Conference League, though a hamstring problem at the end would impact his start to the following 2023/24 season.
