Nottingham Forest defender Aaron Donnelly is set to join Scottish Premiership side Dundee in a permanent deal.
Nottingham Forest defender Aaron Donnelly has agreed a move to Dundee in a permanent deal. Donnelly, 21, is currently on loan at Colchester United, but Forest are set to cancel his loan early to sell him to the Scottish Premier League side. The centre-back enjoyed a spell on loan at Dundee last season and they tried to sign him in the summer but failed to get a deal over the line.
They have now renewed their interest in the Northern Ireland international with Forest willing to let him leave as he is out of contract at the City Ground at the end of the season. Donnelly has made 22 appearances across all competitions for Colchester in the first half of the 2024-25 campaign, including 17 outings in League Two. He has been a regular starter for the fourth-tier outfit in recent months as they battle against relegation from the Football League.
