Nottingham Forest could hear back about whether or not their points deduction appeal has been successful by the end of this week., senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke admitted it would be “huge” for Forest if they receive any of the four deducted points back in their bid to fight off relegation this season.
O’Rourke admitted the verdict must be published as soon as possible to maintain the integrity of the league, with Forest optimistic they will receive some points back. Everton have also been deduced eight points this season for breaking financial fair play rules, but they have now secured their place in the top flight following their upturn in form.
