Nottingham Forest concluded their January transfer window with a minimum of fuss, reflecting their strong performance in the Premier League. With a core squad in place, the club adopted a measured approach, prioritizing retaining existing players. Notable additions were minimal, while significant departures were also scarce.
The January transfer window closed on Monday with Nottingham Forest making minimal moves. It was a quiet end to a quiet month given the Reds' strong performance in the Premier League, there was no need for a major squad overhaul. The club followed a similar measured approach as in the summer when considering potential signings. Aside from re-signing goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey on a short-term deal, Forest's only other signing was Tyler Bindon, who was immediately loaned back to Reading.
Joel Ndala, another promising young talent, joined the academy after completing a move from Manchester City after the window had closed. Significant departures were also scarce throughout the month. Andrew Omobamidele and James Ward-Prowse were the only first-team players to leave, joining Strasbourg on loan and returning to parent club West Ham United respectively. Lewis O'Brien (Swansea City) and Emmanuel Dennis (Blackburn Rovers) also went out on loan but they had not been part of head coach Nuno Espirito Santo's setup. The Reds already had a strong squad before the window opened, and they will hope it's enough to secure European football. Here's a look at some of the winners and losers from Forest's transfer window
