Nottingham Forest defender Scott McKenna has been speaking about the "big decision" that went against Scotland as they suffered their first Euro 2024 qualifying defeat of the campaign against Spain.
Spain play Norway in Oslo on Sunday night – two days before Scotland’s friendly in France – and if the Norwegians drop points, Scotland will qualify for Euro 2024 before facing Georgia away and Norway at home in November. Forest centre-back McKenna, who picked up his 30th cap in Seville and played 90 minutes in what was his first game for almost a month, turned his attention to the double-header next month, while hoping Spain can do Scotland a favour against Norway.
“That’s what we have to look forward to and obviously the game on Sunday between Spain and Norway can also help us as well. We would have loved to do it ourselves against Spain but I am sure we will be watching the game on Sunday, it can help us and we hope that happens.
