The latest Nottingham Forest news as Lewis O'Brien was reportedly a target for Sheffield United before they completed a deal for Tom Davies.
Nottingham Forest midfielder Lewis O’Brien was a transfer target for Sheffield United, but the club’s stance led to the Blades moving on to alternative targets, according to reports.
According to the Sun’s Alan Nixon , Davies was seen as an alternative to long-term target O’Brien. Sheffield United are said to have had the Forest man on their radar for some time, but the Reds’ reluctance to loan him to a rival, and their asking price of £10 million meant that the Blades looked elsewhere.
O’Brien is now back at Forest after spending time on loan with MLS side DC United. The side managed by Wayne Rooney were keen to extend the loan deal, but were unable to reach an agreement with Forest.
